Star Battle board with a Why hint explaining the next logical moveToday's set with Star Battle, Skyscrapers and Kakuro puzzles

Why Pencilmark

Certified, not hoped

A solver proves each grid has one solution and that logic alone reaches it. If a puzzle cannot be certified, it never ships. How certification works

Hints that teach

“Why?” names the technique, shows the cells involved and explains the deduction. Three levels: nudge, reason, move.

Daily set

One Star Battle, one Skyscrapers and one Kakuro every day, the same for everyone. Keep a streak with a weekly shield.

Spoiler-free sharing

Share your time and hint use as a tiny coloured grid. No solutions, no spoilers.

Private and offline

No account, no ads, no analytics and no third-party requests. Your progress stays on your device.

A technique codex

Every technique the solver uses is explained, with real examples from the library. Learn Star Battle
